These Sweepstakes Rules and Regulations are posted at the OpinionWise™ website as a general information resource for panelists or those considering joining the OpinionWise™ consumer panel. If a specific OpinionWise™ project has an associated incentive sweepstakes, then the project’s email invitation will provide a clear description of the sweepstakes prizes and a link to these official Sweepstakes Rules and Regulations.

Digital Research, Inc. and its affiliated companies, conduct a variety of online research surveys and studies using the OpinionWise™ consumer panel and its voluntary members. Sweepstakes incentives – generally in the form of cash or a cash-equivalent, though occasionally in the form of merchandise – are always offered as an incentive to participate in our online studies. All sweepstakes are subject to the rules and regulations described below.

Eligibility: Residents of the United States, who voluntarily join the OpinionWise™ panel, and who are age 18 or older, are eligible to enter our sweepstakes and receive prizes. Minors under the age of 18 may enter and receive prizes with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian (see Notification of Winners and Prize Distribution, below). Employees of Digital Research, Inc., its affiliates or subsidiaries and members of their households or immediate families, are not eligible. One entry per household, no purchase necessary.

How to Enter: When you complete a survey by linking to it from an OpinionWise™ email invitation, before the specified completion deadline, you will be entered automatically into the sweepstakes described in that invitation. However, survey participation is not required to enter. You may also enter by printing your name, address, day-time telephone number, and email address on a 3x5 card and mailing it to:

Entries delivered by US Mail must be received by DRI before the survey completion deadline specified in the original email invitation.

Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received.

Prize Drawing: Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries, by judges whose decisions are final. A drawing will be held within ten business days following the specified survey completion deadline.

Notification of Winners and Prize Distribution: Prize winners will be notified by email. The notification email will provide a link to an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance. Winners or their legal guardians (for winners under the age of 18) must return this signed Affidavit, by the date indicated in the email and/or on the Affidavit, or forfeit their prize. The signed Affidavit may be returned to DRI as a PDF file (directed to the email address specified in the Affidavit) or via US Mail. Winners have 10 business days to respond to DRI’s notification. Failure to respond by the specified deadline will result in disqualification. Disqualification will also result if a prize notification email message is returned to DRI as undeliverable. Forfeited prizes will be awarded to alternate Sweepstakes participants selected at random. DRI decisions about winners are final. Cash prizes will be presented in US funds, in the form of an electronic gift card or company check. Prize(s) are non-transferable. Winners are solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any tax obligation associated with the acceptance of prizes.

Limits of Liability and General: All entries become the exclusive property of Digital Research, Inc., and will not be acknowledged or returned. By accepting a prize, the prize winner acknowledges having read and accepted these rules, and consents to publication of his/her name (first name and last initial) and his/her city-of-residence on an official Winners List that may be supplied to Sweepstakes participants upon request, or posted on the OpinionWise™ panel website, without further compensation.

Only specified prizes will be awarded. No prize substitutions will be made, except by Digital Research, Inc., if specified non-cash prizes are not available.

Digital Research Inc., its agents, representatives and employees, will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including software and/or hardware, Internet or other malfunctions resulting either from participation in an OpinionWise™ panel Sweepstakes or from the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.

​

Digital Research, Inc. is not responsible for technical or computer errors, or for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, or unsuccessful attempts to notify winners, for postage-due or for incomplete entries. Any entry that is tampered with, forged, mutilated, illegible, or submitted by any fraudulent means, or which does not comply with the Sweepstakes rules contained herein, may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Digital Research, Inc.

Digital Research, Inc. reserves the right to either suspend or cancel, at its discretion, Sweepstakes at any time if a computer virus or other technical problem interferes with the security or administration of the Sweepstakes.

Decisions of Digital Research, Inc., are final on all matters of interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment of this Sweepstakes. Digital Research, Inc. reserves the right to modify, amend or supplement these Rules and Regulations at its discretion.

 

Winners List: For a list of winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope, along with a written request to: "OpinionWise™ Sweepstakes", C/O Digital Research, Inc., 172 Commercial St., Portland, ME 04101. Requests for Winners Lists must be received by the specified survey completion deadline and include the Study Name (as provided in your original email invitation) associated with the Winners List you wish to receive.

Restrictions: This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All United States federal, state and local regulations apply.
